Upwork, formerly Elance-oDesk, is an American freelancing platform. In 2015, the Elance-oDesk merger was rebranded as Upwork and the company’s full name is now Upwork Global Inc. I started my career as a Graphic Designer on Upwork.com in June 2018. At first, I thought its interface was very complicated but over time I got a full grasp of it. I read articles about it and after a while, I started getting orders on Upwork. I’ve worked on many platforms other than Upwork but the fun here is nowhere to be found. Now I am a Top-Rated Graphic Designer on Upwork. 

Here are 5 reasons why do I prefer Upwork over other platforms are:

1.Hard work pays off 

Upwork, when you do a good job for a long time, you get paid in full in the form of badges such as Rising Talent, Job Success Score, Top Rated, Top Rated Plus, etc. And you get these badges in a much shorter time than other platforms۔ 

2. Excellent Customer Support Freelancers on other platforms have the problem that there is more value to the client or buyer than freelancers but there is no such thing in Upwork. Everyone is given equal value here and you get the solution to your problem immediately. They reply to you everywhere, whether it is on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. 

3۔ Long-Term Projects

Upwork gives you the opportunity to work with long-term projects and with large companies from which you can learn a lot. You have the opportunity to work with different people from all over the world.

۔4. Hourly Protection

One of the features of Upwork that I personally like is its Hourly Payment Protection۔ You get paid for whatever you do through it. For this, you have to turn on Upwork’s time tracking app. To qualify for Hourly Protection, there are some rules that you can read by clicking on this link. 

5. Largest Freelancer Marketplace

Upwork is the largest freelancing marketplace with about 145.4 thousand core clients. Clients and talent leave each other 20k new reviews per week.
